5 Fictional Corporations and Their Real-Life Counterparts – Part 3
These fictional corporations leave quite a few people wondering - if any of these gigantic behemoths ever existed, who would their real-life equivalents be? The team at Bidness Etc explores five such fictional corporations that seem to mimic real counterparts. Some of these are globally diversified conglomerates, but they share quite a few structural similarities with existing companies. This is the last of a three-part series – today we touch upon corporations depicted in major movies.
Owned by eccentric billionaire, Willy Wonka, Wonka Industries produces the world’s favorite chocolate. The main factory spares no expense, and has manufactured chocolate rivers, glass elevators, and candy plants. Reclusive and controlling, Wonka fires all of his workers, who were suspected of industrial espionage – and brings in workers from Loompaland to take their place. These workers are paid in cocoa beans. Wonka Industries is a pioneer in its field, producing flavors and types of candy nobody has thought of before, such as a three-course gum meal and jawbreakers that take forever to finish.
