Google goes Mecha, Acquires Military Robot Manufacturer

GOOGLE GOES MECHA, ACQUIRES MILITARY ROBOT MANUFACTURER

Google (GOOG) has acquired eight robot makers in the last six months and the latest acquisition is the biggest and baddest of them all. Google has bought Boston Dynamics, which was founded in 1992 as an offshoot of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and is famous for its advanced robots funded by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA).
